Michael A. Quinn, President

As President of Global Thinkers Inc., Mr. Quinn is responsible for the execution of the business plan that will make Global Thinkers a world leader in the elearning market.

Mr. Quinn is also President of LCSI. Under his leadership, LCSI become a Canadian success story in the field of primary school and high school educational technology winning numerous awards for product quality. LCSI products were used by educators in the four corners of the world, in rich nations and developing nations. Mr. Quinn strongly believes that children should be able to use the best educational technology available in their mother tongue. Consequently, LCSI products were available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Russian, Greek, Arabic, Japanese, Turkish and Thai.

Mr. Quinn has participated on four Team Canada Trade Missions. As a direct result of these trade missions, Mr. Quinn understands how to use Canadian government business tools such as the Export Development Corporation and the Canadian Commercial Corporation.

Mr. Quinn earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in Montreal and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada. He serves on the Board of Directors of Toon Boom Animation and the Lac Saint Louis Federal Liberal Association. He was President of this Liberal Association from 2005 to 2008.  Mr. Quinn is also a board member of the non-profit Anytime Anywhere Learning Foundation.

Mr. Quinn speaks English and French and has a working knowledge of Spanish.

Lea Iaricci, Director of Marketing

Ms. Iaricci has been actively involved in the marketing of LCSI products such as MicroWorlds EX, MicroWorlds EX Robotics, MicroWorlds JR and the My Make Believe series. Having written and communication skills in four languages, English, French, Spanish, and Italian, Ms. Iaricci began playing a significant role in marketing the different language versions of LCSI products. In 1998 she participated in the Team Canada Mission to Italy, which resulted in the signing of a contract with an Italian partner for an Italian version of MicroWorlds. Ms. Iaricci was in charge of the development of LCSI's corporate web site (www.lcsi.ca), which can be accessed in any one of four languages, English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Most recently, Ms. Iaricci helped conclude major sales to the city of Bogota, Colombia, and to ILCE, the educational technology group under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of Mexico.

Ms. Iaricci received her Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in Montreal.

Alain Tougas, Director of Projects

Alain Tougas has a background in special education. He worked for LCSI for almost 20 years since 1982, so he's has been through all the important "mutations" of Logo, from the "original flavors" to LogoWriter and then to MicroWorlds, in different languages and on different platforms. His duties spanned from technical writing to technical support, including software design, translations, field testing, workshops and trainings. He is currently part of the project management team responsible for software specifications and development Transform activities. His preferred "obsession" consists of trying to maintain the usage of software at an appropriate level for students and teachers.
