Q. How do I use/view/open the Transform Activities?
A. There are three ways to use Transform Activities: 1. in a web browser while connected directly on the Transform web site, 2. as a stand-alone applet, and 3. using the Transform application.
1. When you are logged in the Transform Activities Library, you will be looking at Transform Activities directly in your Java enabled web browser. That is the normal viewing method for viewing activities created and submitted by the Transform Community.
2. Transform allows you to create Transform Activities that you can use with your students without publishing publicly on the web. In that case, you tell Transform to save the activity as a stand-alone applet.
3. If you have Transform installed on your computer, you can certainly use any Transform Activity in “user mode” but in addition, you can see it in “edit mode”, look at how it is made, make any type of changes, and resave it.
Q. What browsers are supported for viewing Transform Activities?
A. Any modern browser that supports Java, including IE 6 and 7, Safari, Opera, Firefox. Visit our Transform Activities Library to test your browser and Java plugin. If you are not a Transform registered user yet, only a few activities will be enabled, but that is enough to test your environment.
Q. What operating system does Transform require?
A. Transform works on the following platforms:
Macintosh OS 10.4 and higher
Windows XP and Vista
Linux Ubuntu and other modern distributions
You must have a recent Java Runtime Environment (JRE) on your computer. You can get it here: http://www.java.com. On that web page, you will also find the hyperlinks “What is Java” and “Do I have Java” (remotely driven test)
Q. What language versions are available?
A. English and Spanish. For large government orders, we can localize Transform for any language / country.
Q. Can I try Transform for free?
A. Yes, absolutely! We have a demo available that allows you to try Transform. Click here to download the demo.

Q. Do I need to have an Internet connection?
A. No, you can use Transform and / or its Transform activities locally. However, you will need an Internet connection if you want to download Transform Activities from the Global Thinkers web site or upload the activities you created to this web site.
Q. Can I submit my Transform activities to Global Thinkers?
A. Yes, and Global Thinkers will review the Transform Activity and determine if it is appropriate for publication. You should be aware that published activities are available for free download and modification by the entire Transform Community. See Terms of service and Privacy.
Q. What can I do with a downloaded Transform Activity?
A. You can use it “as-is” on any local computer that has a Transform license. You can modify and / or translate it. You can re-submit the modified Transform Activity to Global Thinkers for publication.
Q. Can I store my Transform Activities on a private host?
A. Yes, please contact us so we can discuss your plans.
Q. What are the limitations to the demo?
A. The demo version is limited to 15 days and saving is disabled.
Q. Why do I need to register my purchase of Transform ?
A. Once you have registered, you can log-in and view the Transform Activities section.
In addition registering your purchase of Transform entitles you to be notified of new releases of software packages as well as upgrades to your existing product.

A. Go to the Login page and follow the instructions. Make sure you have registered first. See above.
Q. I’m having problems logging in.
A. The Login page has a Username and Password retrieval link. The information will be sent to the email address that was used during the registration process.
Also, make sure that your browser is set to accept Cookies. We use cookies to maintain your session and make future login procedures easier (faster). If you explicitly logout, the cookie is immediately deleted.
